All the 4s will set out from Peterborough on Fri 16 July. Over the next 10 days they will walk through the counties of Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex; they will include the towns of Peterborough, Wisbech, King’s Lynn, Norwich, Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft, Ipswich, Clacton on Sea and will finish in Chelmsford on Sun 25 Jul 10.
To encourage maximum participation and sponsorship, the opportunity exists for members of the public to join the walk, on any day, to complete a leg, or any number of legs on different days. Legs will be between 10 – 20 miles per day.

We'd be delighted if you could join us in raising sponsorship money for what will be an historic and memorable event. Anybody wishing to participate on any day or leg of the walk should contact Captain Ty Smith. This is so that we'll know roughly how many walkers to expect on each day. Besides that, you should aim to arrive at the start location at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start time, sporting a pair of well worn in walking boots (or similar) and comfortable walking clothing. It would also be advisable to bring a small daysack containing a drink, lunch where necessary and some wet-weather gear.
